Trade-In Condition Guidelines

We base your quote on the condition you select (Loose, CIB, or Sealed/New). If items arrive with missing parts, heavy wear, damage, or region issues, we may adjust the offer using the guidelines below.

NTSC-U only Broken items not accepted We contact you on major changes
Prefer emailing a large collection? Email trades@revitalizingretro.com with subject “Sell My Games” plus photos and a list — we’ll quote and coordinate with you over email.
Region Policy (Important)
  • We accept NTSC-U items unless explicitly pre-approved.
  • Non-NTSC games/consoles are not accepted.
If something arrives non-NTSC by accident, we can ship it back at the customer’s expense.
Games — Discs
  • Scratched discs: 25% deduction.
  • Deep scratches, cracking, or read errors may result in a larger deduction or rejection.
  • If you submit as CIB but it’s missing manual/inserts, we may adjust to the correct condition tier.
Games — Cartridges
  • Damaged cartridge label: 25% deduction.
  • Marker, heavy wear, or shell damage may reduce value depending on severity.
  • If a title relies on a save battery and it’s dead, we may adjust value.
Missing Accessories (Applies to All Games)
  • If an item is submitted as CIB but missing manuals/inserts/pack-ins, the offer may be adjusted.
  • If an item is submitted as Sealed/New but arrives opened, it will be adjusted to the correct tier.
Consoles — Requirements
To receive full value, consoles should include what’s needed to power on and connect.
  • Missing power cord: $10 deduction
  • Missing HDMI / A/V cable: $5 deduction
  • Heavily worn / dirty: deductions vary based on severity
Broken / Non-Working Items
  • We do not accept broken games or consoles.
  • If a console doesn’t power on or has a significant defect, we offer $0 for that system.
  • If something arrives broken and you didn’t realize it, we can return it at the customer’s expense for shipping.

Final adjustments depend on the exact item and condition on arrival. If there’s a meaningful change, we’ll contact you before payout.
