Please review the following policies before placing an order with Revitalizing Retro. By making a purchase, you agree to the terms outlined below.
Orders & Payments
All orders placed through Revitalizing Retro are subject to availability and acceptance. Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. Payment is required at the time of purchase.
Once an order has been processed for shipment, it cannot be modified or canceled.
Purchases made using issued store credit are not eligible to earn rewards points through the Revitalizing Retro rewards program.
Authenticity & Condition
All items sold through Revitalizing Retro are authentic, original products unless explicitly stated otherwise in the product listing.
Condition details are described clearly and honestly in each listing. All photos shown are of the exact item you will receive. Please review descriptions and images carefully before purchasing.
All systems, games, and accessories are tested before being listed and again prior to shipment.
Shipping Policy
Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1–3 business days after the order is placed. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will begin processing on the next business day.
Shipping options and rates are calculated at checkout. Once your order ships, tracking information will be provided via email.
While we work hard to ensure fast and safe delivery, Revitalizing Retro is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather conditions, or other circumstances outside of our control.
All items are packaged carefully to protect collectible products during transit.
Returns & Warranty
Consoles — 90 Day Functional Warranty
Consoles purchased from Revitalizing Retro include a 90 day functional warranty beginning on the delivery date for verified hardware defects or functional issues.
If a console develops a functional issue during this period, please contact us so we can help troubleshoot the problem or arrange a return if necessary.
This warranty applies to functional defects only and does not cover cosmetic preferences, buyer’s remorse, accidental damage, misuse, modifications, compatibility misunderstandings, or issues caused after delivery.
Consoles must be returned in the same condition they were received and include all originally included accessories, cables, controllers, inserts, or bundled items.
Games & Accessories — 30 Day Functional Return Window
Games and accessories may be returned within 30 days of delivery only if they arrive defective, damaged in transit, or are significantly not as described.
All games are tested prior to shipment unless explicitly stated otherwise in the listing.
Because retro games and collectibles are highly condition-sensitive, returns are not accepted for the following reasons:
- Buyer’s remorse
- Minor cosmetic wear consistent with age
- Dislike of label wear, scratches, stickers, rental store markings, writing, or aging that was visible in listing photos
- Preference-related concerns regarding packaging, inserts, manuals, or cases that were accurately shown or described
- Differences between Greatest Hits, Player’s Choice, rental cases, replacement cases, or similar variations when shown in photos
- Disc resurfacing marks, light wear, or cartridge aging consistent with normal retro game ownership
- Compatibility issues with region-locked systems, aftermarket hardware, modded systems, HDMI adapters, third-party accessories, flash carts, or modern televisions
Product photos are considered part of the item description. Customers are responsible for carefully reviewing all listing photos, titles, descriptions, condition notes, and included contents prior to purchase.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, items may not include original inserts, registration cards, advertisements, foam blocks, trays, or other packaging materials commonly missing from vintage products.
Return Shipping Responsibility
If an item arrives defective, damaged during transit, or significantly not as described, Revitalizing Retro will provide a prepaid return shipping label.
For all other approved returns — including buyer preference issues, accidental purchases, compatibility misunderstandings, or disagreements regarding condition details clearly shown in the listing — the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error made by Revitalizing Retro.
Any refused packages or unauthorized returns may be subject to restocking fees and deducted shipping costs.
Authenticity, Cases & Packaging
All items sold by Revitalizing Retro are authentic unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Some retro games may include rental cases, replacement cases, aftermarket jewel cases, generic sleeves, protective cases, or case variations acquired with the item during trade-in or collection purchases.
Whenever possible, we preserve original acquired packaging and presentation, including rental store cases or stickers, as many collectors prefer these original historical elements.
Case style, case branding, rental stickers, security stickers, and similar cosmetic packaging details are not considered defects if accurately shown in listing photos.
If a listing is marked as “CIB” (Complete in Box), this generally means the item includes the game, original case, and manual unless otherwise stated in the description.
Due to the age and variation of retro games, included inserts may vary by print run, region, or release version.
Return Requirements
To qualify for a return approval:
- The item must be returned in the exact condition it was received
- All included contents, accessories, manuals, inserts, packaging, and bundled items must be included
- The item must not show additional wear, damage, tampering, modification, or replacement-part swapping after delivery
- Security markings, serial numbers, or authenticity identifiers must remain intact and unaltered
Returns sent back with missing contents, swapped parts, damaged labels, damaged cases, excessive wear, or altered serial numbers may be denied or subject to partial refunds.
To request a return, email support@revitalizingretro.com with the subject line "RETURN REQUEST - ORDER#" and include your order number along with a detailed explanation of the issue and clear photos if applicable.
Returns sent without prior approval may be refused and returned to sender.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method after the returned item has been received, inspected, and verified.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return unless they arrive defective or significantly not as described:
- Items sold “as-is”
- Clearance or final sale items
- Items with cosmetic wear clearly shown in listing photos
- Items missing contents that were disclosed in the listing
- Disc-only, cartridge-only, loose, or incomplete items when properly labeled
- Sealed games or products that have been opened after delivery
- Items damaged after delivery due to misuse, improper storage, or installation attempts
Damaged, Incorrect, or Missing Orders
If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or incorrect, you must contact us within 48 hours of confirmed delivery.
Please include clear photos of the item, packaging, shipping box, and shipping label so we can properly investigate and resolve the issue.
Compatibility & Buyer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for understanding the compatibility requirements of the items they purchase.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Region compatibility (NTSC-U, NTSC-J, PAL, etc.)
- Hardware generation compatibility
- Modern TV compatibility with retro consoles
- Accessory compatibility
- Memory card requirements
- Online service availability for older titles
- Third-party adapter compatibility
Compatibility misunderstandings do not qualify an item as defective or “not as described.”
Liability
Revitalizing Retro is not responsible for damage caused by improper use, modification, installation attempts, cleaning attempts, disc resurfacing after delivery, voltage misuse, or compatibility issues occurring after the item has been received.
By purchasing from Revitalizing Retro, the customer acknowledges that retro games, consoles, and accessories are pre-owned collectible items that may naturally show signs of age and wear.
Updates to These Terms
These policies may be updated periodically. Continued use of the site after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
